A Decisive Meal App With A Playful Punch

Scope

Deciding what's for dinner at the end of the day is the last thing anyone wants to do. I created a mobile-first app that helps narrow down the decision, designed in Figma and built with Claude Code. It pulls two meals at random from your personal meal database, stages a head-to-head fight, and you crown the champion. Let the food fight instead of you.

User Testing Rebuilt The Onboarding Flow

New accounts now start with 30 meals prebuilt, voice input for adding more, and a single fight to demo the core experience. Pairing that with a 7 day trial moved testers from curious to sold.

Users Demanded Bringing Friends Into The Fight

Testing surfaced a request for a group decision. They wanted to settle dinner together, shareable fights and group voting narrow down the dinner winner decided by all.

Meal Database Management Built For Speed

Every meal lives in a searchable database filtered by meal type. Voice input handles adding, editing, and deleting meals fast and effortless.

A Cast Of Characters Worth Rooting For

These rubber hose inspired food characters were created with Gemini. They give the app a cast to root for and carry the brand's personality through every screen.

Closing The Gap Between Design And Development

Building with AI tools changes the design decisions I make. When the design file and the codebase are the same project, an animation curve or a voice command becomes something I can feel, test, and polish in an afternoon. That's the AI-driven design workflow I'm bringing into client work.
