Exploring A French Fashion Brand & Website Experience

Making the best digital commerce experience in an industry where every brand blurs together.


I wanted to practice working with a brand/client that I never have had the opportunity to collaborate with. So I created Vêtira to put myself into a new challenge to explore different styles and solutions for a French womens fashion company. Researching countless competitors to discover what’s the best approach to a luxury clothing brand and how things could be differentiated or enhanced for a great user experience.

The approach was to be different. When the industry goes right this brand goes left. While always maintaining UX principles and user centered design.

There are countless fashion brands that don’t have a compelling user experience. I designed a engaging UI with an experience to match. Fashion brands should always include a fast checkout experience, that was were it all began. 


Organizing the content in a consise and logical way for users to simply browse through the experience discovering products. 


This page functions as an overview of everything Vétira has to offer. The branding is subtly present instead of extremely non-existent like the rest of the industry’s commerce experiences. Implementing the shop by category section that functions as a menu with imagery allows a glimpse into each product line with a featured product. Users can hover over a product, choose the size, add to cart or continue shopping, all without navigating to another page. All the photography depicts real models wearing their products for real life context.


The design becomes simplier and more concise as users dive into products to focus them more on the product then the branding. Funneling them to convert and finish the checkout process.


All elements were designed with responsiveness in mind so pages can scale and retain the same type of compelling experience. Vertical photography was deliberate and intentional from the begining to support mobile friendly shopping experience. 


This project is still work in progress but, I have learned a lot by analyzing the user experience from a variety of fashion brands big and small. Streamlining the add to cart experience and taking out features that don’t add any value to shoppers. Forcing myself to make unorthadox decisions that will help differentiate Vêtira from all the other copycat simple fashion brands.
